too early to tell

artist woke up at 5am this morning and took a peek outside. 'mom! i don't think there is going to be school today!'

'why not?' i asked.

'because it's too dark out.' i wish that's how it worked, buddy. :)

'sick' of compliments

artist was showing football a dragon that he drew and football said 'artist, this is sick!'
artist asked 'sick, like puking? or sick, like awesome?'
football answered 'sick, like awesome.'
artist replied 'oh, okay. i know.' and walked away.

juvie

we got to sit in a third floor suite during a colorado rapids match. the boys were thrilled! everything was going great until poor artist accidentally dropped his glass of ice water on a man in a second floor suite. the man was (understandably) mad and talked to security.

artist turned white and broke out in tears. he asked 'mom, will the security guy come and take me away to juvenile? i don't want to go to juvenile.' i reassured him that they would not take him away for spilling water. :) he spent the rest of the match inside the box and watched it on tv, traumatized.

rex protection

football had the worst headache yesterday. bfp laid him in bed with a washclothe across his forehead. artist gave him a giant t-rex toy and said 'there might be monsters under the bed and he'll protect you if you can't do it yourself.' awww!

they are like...

i gave the boys rye-crisps for a snack.

football asked 'what are these?'

artist replied 'they are like cat food, only better.'

so now i am sitting here wondering... since we have never had a cat to feed, when has artist eaten cat food? and apparently rye-crisps are similar? lol.

revolutions

the boys can not say 'resolution', even after repeated help pronouncing it. :)

i want *that*!

i asked artist what he wanted for christmas and he replied 'the filtrete water station. i really want *that*!' i seriously lol'ed. i guess someone has been brainwashed from watching tv commercials.
